The Religious Education Program assists parents, as the primary educators of their children, in providing the knowledge, experiences, and skills needed to become faithful and fruitful disciples of Jesus. We enable parents and children to live out their baptismal call to discipleship by providing opportunities for faith formation through prayer and liturgy, moral formation, catechetical instruction, and service. In collaboration with parents and volunteer catechists, we initiate the child into the Catholic Christian community and into participation in the Church’s mission of working for the Reign of God.
A special note to parents:
If you need help with a baptism or enrolling your child in religious education as part of sacramental preparation, please contact Tara Schumaker.
We would love to have several grade 9-12 volunteers to help as aides in grades K-6 each Sunday during religious education class. Please fill out the form RE Teen Form in order to help. This is a great way to have fun, share your religion, and earn those volunteer hours needed for school!
Religious Education classes are offered to children in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade for those who do not attend Catholic schools. Classes meet on Sundays from September to April between the hours of 9:40 and 10:50 AM at St. Albert the Great. The cost is $80 to cover books, supplies, and facilities. **Maximum of $240/family. If your family needs financial assistance or a payment plan, please contact our office.
We are always looking for religious education adult helpers and catechists. Please contact our office if interested.
The Kettering Catholic Community of Schools & RE Students are welcome to participate in all parish sports.
